Hi, I'm saniha

Whew! Where do I begin?

I felt the need to write about a 12th house profection year at the age of 35. Before my year began, I tried to find out information online, but it seemed as if every perspective was from a 23-year-old. When I went through my 12th house profection year at 23, it was rough on all fronts, but definitely not as difficult as 35. The second adult time going through a 12th house profection year brings a lot of extra baggage. You have years of adulthood under your belt and have plenty of material to reflect on.

Currently ending August and feeling pretty worn out. Life has been brutal and feels like I have been hit from all sides of life.

When will it end?

Hopefully, by my birthday, it will loosen up.

The plus side I’ve built up a resiliency like no other. Hardships no longer break me down as they used to; I know that all hard times are just temporary. 12th house profection years hit you on all sides, and it feels like no part of your life is going smoothly. This is all happening for my greater good. You can feel total disappointment for all that hasn’t happened and all the things you think might never happen.

Where is the joy?

It’s literally in the present moment. Every time I started to spiral, I tuned into the present and was able to center myself back. Things like playing with my dog, talking to my family, watching a good TV show, and physical activity kept me going.

Let’s get into the isolation. I felt isolated in my 11th house profection year as well from my friend groups. This has continued into my 12th house year. Now, I’ve been able to tap into my subconscious and see my shortcomings when it comes to being a friend to others. I realized I was a really wack friend, and that is why I am in the position I am in now.

My professional life has also been interesting. The 12th house year provides insight into why you are where you are and the steps you need to take moving forward to achieve your goals.

Let’s talk about sleep.

I haven’t really gotten any. Even with the lack of sleep, I don’t feel deprived; it’s an interesting concept. You would think the lack of sleep would kill me; I must admit it definitely affects my fitness schedule. I won’t work out if I don’t feel well-rested in the morning.

Extreme self-care is mandatory

I constantly check in with myself to ensure I am getting what I need. Vitamins? Extra vegetables? Nap? More water?

Alone but never lonely

You definitely feel the isolation in a 12th house profection year. Even though I was alone, I never felt lonely. My own company was enough to sustain me; my imagination ran wild. When the silence got a little too loud, I reached out to others for engagement.

Grieve for what was lost

You will feel a ton of grief about how you think your life “should” have gone. How to beat this feeling? Stay present in gratitude for what you have, even if it’s not the “perfect” life you imagined for yourself. There is always something to be grateful for.

This year will help you break down all past negativity so you can enter your 1st house profection year light and free from all baggage from the past 11 years! As the year is coming to a close, I feel like nothing can really stop me from achieving my goals, and I am so excited for the future.

Talk to me. Have you already gone through your 12th house profection year, or currently going through it? How is it going?
